Health Sciences

Interested in solving the most pressing health challenges of the 21st century? This program offers a hands-on, problem-solving approach to studying human medicine, physiology, genetics, microbiology and public health. Students use real-world instruments and methods to examine the structures and interactions of the human body. From dissecting a heart and a cow’s eye to evaluating DNA code, students explore science in action.
Students complete job shadows and an intense two-week internship in the health field. They also interact with students and staff from the University of Cincinnati's College of Allied Health and Christ Hospitals College of Nursing and Health Sciences. In their senior year, students work on an independent project with a mentor or advisor from a university, hospital, research institution or the biomedical industry.
