Principal
Dear Hughes STEM Community,
Welcome to the Hughes STEM High School website. The purpose of this webpage is to provide families, students, and our school community with easy access to a wealth of information on Hughes STEM High School programs, opportunities, policies, and activities.
Hughes STEM High School is a great place to work, grow, and learn as a community. We are an Internationally Cognia Accredited High School as both a STEM School and as a High School. We are also one of five Ohio High Schools to earn STEM Designation. Our teachers are committed to a high quality learning experience focused on the individual needs of each student. We are striving to be creative and innovative in our instruction to engage students in their learning through a 7-12 Grade Career Technological Education in STEM activities. We currently offer 5 STEM pathways at the Jr & Sr year of high school: STEM Leadership, Plant and Animal Science (Zoo Academy), Engineering, Health Careers, and Information Technology.
Hughes STEM serves approximately 1200 students from across Cincinnati Public School neighborhoods. Our school community has a long standing tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. As a school, we are committed to our mission to create a 21st Century Learning Community that will support, challenge, and empower students to become college-ready, engaged citizens and life-long learners through an integrated STEM and liberal arts curriculum. Everyday we work on our vision to be the premier STEM Career Tech high school in Southwest Ohio that values teacher leadership at its core, strategically utilizes its partnerships, and implements high-quality STEM Project-based learning for ALL.
We believe these goals can be achieved through “C.R.E.D.I.T”
- Courage
